The Magnificat Award presented to Mary Lou and Marc de Venoge

“I am so pleased to present Mary Lou and Marc with the Saint Mary’s Magnificat Award. They embody the core meaning of its representation, that is, the acceptance by our Blessed Mother of the central role she was asked to take on as the Mother of Our Lord. Mary Lou and Marc’s devotion to Jesus Christ through their works of service at Saint Mary’s reflects the essence of the Magnificat Award. You are a blessing to our community and I thank you.” –Rev. Fr. Robert A. Romeo, Pastor

A Message from the Honorees

Dear Fellow Saint Mary’s Parishioners and Friends,

We are blessed to have had the opportunity to call The Church of Saint Mary our home for many years, and to call you, our fellow parishioners, our family. When we consider the heartache that the pandemic has brought to so many, we consider the need to have our Parish Gala virtually as a minor inconvenience in comparison.

We are so grateful to have been asked by Fr. Bob to be the recipients of the Magnificat Award this year. The profound meaning of its title is both a blessing and a responsibility. Truly our ‘souls glorify the Lord and our spirit rejoices in God our Savior.’

With deep gratitude we thank all of you for your prayers and for your support of the 2020 Saint Mary’s Parish Gala. We accept this award in joyful celebration and thanksgiving and will continue the work of Our Lord through our wonderful Church of Saint Mary.

Sincerely,

Mary Lou & Marc de Venoge
