St.
Mary's Organ Fund
Music has always been
and important part of Christian worship, prayer and liturgy.
At present, the organ that has served St. Mary's so well for so
many years has passed the point where repair would be either advisable
or possible.
St. Mary's has instituted
an Organ Fund to raise money for a new organ. Parishioners
have already begun to respond with gifts at every level. Because
we must raise over $100,000 to replace the organ we are asking parishioners
and friends of the parish to give to this most worthy cause.
Cash Gift to Support
the Organ Fund
You may make a gift in
support of the Organ Fund by simply dropping an envelope in the
collection plate or mailing one to the parish office. Please
mark your gift "Organ Fund" in the memo column of your
check or if you are making a cash donation, please include a note
indicating that the gift is for the Organ Fund. Your gifts
are tax-deductible and you will receive a charitable gift receipt
for your donation.
Memorial Pews
As part of our Coming
Together to Do Christ's Work capital campaign we have undertaken
several projects, including the renewal of our sacred space.
We have recently replaced our aging pews with attractive, new pews.
In response to requests from several parishioners
we have agreed to invite those interested in memorializing a family
member or loved one through a memorial plaque in the church.
We are asking that memorial pews be created through a gift at the
$1,500 level. Your gift will not only provide for pew, but
the mounting of an attractive plaque honoring your loved one on
that pew. We would also be pleased to send a note announcing
the memorial to a few friends and family members should you so desire.
If you would like more information about reserving a pew to memorialize
a family member or loved one please contact Robert O'Connell in the
Development Office at (516) 627-4605.
