St. Mary’s to Participate in Town-wide Veterans Collection for Northport VAMC

The Schools of Saint Mary is pleased to announce their participation in the Town of North Hempstead’s 4th Annual Veterans Donation Drive. Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board, and the Veterans Advisory Committee are proud to once again spearhead this collection where students (and local residents) will have the opportunity to donate personal care items, new clothing and more. Items will be gathered through December 8 and delivered to the Northport Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center just before the holidays. This is a beautiful way to help our veterans and give thanks for their service to our great country.

Requested items include:
• NEW clothing of all types (sizes large and up)
• NEW toiletries including: unscented body lotion, brushes and combs, deodorant, shaving cream, nail clippers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and shampoo
• Lap blankets (approx. 36” x 42”), powdered laundry detergent, new or gently used luggage (with wheels), Forever postage stamps, phone cards, and Stop and Shop gift cards

Donations can be dropped off at St. Mary’s Elementary School or St. Mary’s High School beginning Monday, November 6 through Thursday, December 7, 2017. For more information, please contact our program coordinators:
