Ms. Sarah De Venoge: A St. Mary’s Legacy

Sarah De Venoge, Principal of St. Mary’s Elementary School, not only dedicates her life to serving the youngest St. Mary’s students but once walked in their footsteps. Ms. De Venoge is a Manhasset native, and as an Elementary School alumna Class of 2002, received all her sacraments at St. Mary’s. She went on to attend St. Mary’s High School and graduated Class of 2006.

After high school, Ms. De Venoge attended SUNY Binghamton, receiving her Bachelor of the Arts in 2010 and her Master’s in 2011. She earned her second Master’s degree from Fordham University in 2016.

Ms. De Venoge developed her faith formation at St. Mary’s as a student. When she returned to teach 8th grade ELA, Spanish, and religion, she felt her faith developed further. Her experience as a student of St. Mary’s gave her the compassionate perspective and strong Catholic values necessary to be an outstanding leader.

Most of all, Ms. De Venoge enjoys the positive atmosphere and spirit of collaboration among teachers, staff, religious, students, parents, and parishioners. Ms. De Venoge gives witness to the united community of the parish and schools of St. Mary!
