Finance Club Finishes in First Place for Second Consecutive Year

The Saint Mary’s High School Finance Club has knocked it out of the park once again, finishing in first place in the Long Island Stock Market Game for the second year in a row! Juniors Nikolas Costello and Daniel Holung topped 250 other teams in the year-long competition with a 42.70% return, 31% above the S&P500. Nikolas and Daniel came in first and second, respectively, out of 779 in the fall competition as well. Under the direction of club moderator Jonathan Marron, St. Mary’s also had first and third place teams out of almost 900 in the spring session of the competition; freshmen Francene Olegario and Zachary Zabatta also had a strong showing, finishing fifth in the year-long competition.
