Board Member Responsibilities

Expectations of Alumni Association Board Members

  • Attend and participate in at least 5 of 7 alumni board meetings (meetings take place every 6 weeks from September through June)
  • Participate with at least one sub-committee and meet those objectives outlined
  • Encouraged to make a gift to the Annual Fund; This will be considered your “dues” as discussed in the by-laws
  • Every member should be familiar with the by-laws of the board
  • Will be expected to attend at least one major alumni event each year (Golf Outing or Hall of Fame)
  • Be willing to participate in High School needs as needed (ex. Phone-a-thons, open house, speaking engagements, recruitment)
  • TERM LIMITS (2 or 3 year term)

Expectations of Alumni Association Sub-Committee Members

  • Attend and participate in sub-committee meetings
  • Contact fellow alumni in an effort to increase participation in said event
  • Attend the event for which you are serving; volunteer that day
  • Report back to the alumni association all progress being made on sub-committee
  • Help recruit volunteers for event
